Light Studies
Three portraits, three ways of handling light.
The concept
A short portrait series made while learning studio lighting, and the start of the colour palette that now runs through my work.
Colour as a feeling
These were made in the college studio, working with a single light and coloured gels. I wanted to see how far colour alone could carry a mood: whether a portrait could feel tender, anxious or calm without any props at all.
“Photography is not about perfection. It's about giving a moment weight.”
